Recycle Paper and CardDid you know the PSO made hundreds of dollars from Recycling last year? Please bring your paper and cardboard to the dumpsters in the back of the parking lot - it's that easy!
You can recycle all of your paper in the green and yellow bins in our school parking lot. The recycle bins are near the Habitat, towards the back of the school. Acceptable products include: newspapers/inserts, magazines, catalogs, mail, office and school paper, envelopes (with and without windows), paperback books, phone books, poster board, flat cardboard, construction paper, chip board, paperboard (cereal boxes) and soda cartons. Please do not bring items with food on it. By recycling, not only do you save water and energy, but our school earns money for every pound of paper you help us collect! Tell your family, your friends and your neighbors and add recycling at Hilton to your weekly errand route. Bins are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. |
Creative Writing Corner
Hilton's Creative Writing Corner program is designed to help kids express themselves creatively. For the younger students, a few words or a picture may be appropriate, while the older children may write a paragraph or two. Participants will receive a small prize with the return of their work, such as a voucher for a free ice cream at lunch and all entries will be displayed in the lobby on the Creative Writing Bulletin Board. Monthly writing topic can be found on our homepage.

Library Birthday Book ClubA donation of $10.00 allows your child to celebrate his or her birthday by selecting a book from a variety of pre-purchased titles during his/her weekly library day. Not only will your child be able to bring home the chosen book to share it with the family that week, but a commemorative label will be inserted in the front cover to forever celebrate your child’s birthday and generosity in supporting the school library. Donations will be used to purchase additional books for the Hilton library. For more information, visit our website and join the club.

STEM / Science DZ (Discovery Zone)The STEM committee goals are to help create and enhance opportunities for our students in the areas of Science and STEM both in and outside of the classroom. We welcome any ideas to help our students to become effective Next Generation Learners.
Three times each school year, parent and high school student volunteers take time to educate Hilton students about science. Each Science DZ has a different theme and the young students participate in experiments to learn first hand how and why things work. |
